After graduating from nursing school in 1969, Tony and I married and lived in Sanford and Raleigh. I nursed in various specialties until 1980 and then accepted a position with Central Carolina Hospital as Director of Staff Development.
In 1985, I accepted employment as the Senior Risk Manager with Medical Mutual Insurance Company in Raleigh, a physician-owned insurance company that provides malpractice insurance to physicians & dentists.
I conducted risk management reviews of NC insureds & was a guest faculty member at ECU School of Medicine teaching Risk Management strategies to medical students and residents.
I was a frequent lecturer to many health care organizations on that topic. I retired from this profession in 1998 when I was seriously injured in an auto accident.
Since that time, I have been enjoying our grandchildren. I also travel frequently.
Tony and I had two homes, 40 years in Sanford and 25 years in Holden Beach. After Tony passed away in 2007, I sold the beach home and returned to Sanford. I'm back at the beach and living in a condo in North Myrtle Beach. Life has been good to us!
Tony is missed so much by his friends and family. He would have enjoyed seeing all of you!
Favorite School Memory:

Glee Club with Edna Earle Yarborough, football games, Mr. Cozort being ambidextrous in the mobile classroom, science lab, fun with friends on the weekends, Elk's Club dances, going to the beach & just enjoying time with classmates!
