Dana Michael Sauls

Michael “Mike” Sauls, 64 of Sanford, NC; died Thursday December 6th 2012 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Mr. Sauls was born June 7, 1948. in Greensboro, NC, to his late biological mother Peggy Fraski and adopted parents Lee Royal Sauls and Bertie Mae (Brown) Sauls.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 9PM on Tuesday December 11th 2012 at the Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford with military honors being rendered at 8PM.

Mr. Sauls served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Purple Heart. Mike enjoyed trips to Surf City, NC, where he loved to pier fish. He was a good hearted family man who loved his motorcycle, and the occasional bonfire. He would give you the shirt off his back and would expect nothing in return.

Mr. Sauls is survived by his wife, Dorothy G. Sauls. Two sons, Dane Bumgarner of Vass and Waylon Sauls and wife Jessica of Vass. Three daughters, Carol Cofery of Chapel Hill, NC; Brooke Mason and husband Quincy of Siler City, NC; and Emily Gilchrist of Sanford, NC; Two brothers Billy and Robert Maness and a sister, Margie Goral all of Michigan. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
